#MotivationalMonday

www.angela-meryl.com This is totally the way I felt when I came to #LA over 15 yrs ago! Before I went to LA I was Acting and doing Stunts. What you may not know (unless you read my book 🙂 is that I was also doing  Make Up and Facials in Department Stores and Modeling. You know what I am talking about its the people in the Department stores that get you in the chair and do your make-up and or spray you with perfume! Don’t knock it!! It was good money!! Sometimes I would make 25 bucks and hour. I had very little responsibilities at that time. One of the best things was working Thursday through Saturday. Working in the Department stores was my secondary  in between job when I wasn’t doing stunts or acting.  I was determined to only work in the movie business and not do the Department Store job when I came to LA. For me if I had to do that I might as well go back to Jersey! It took me Eight months to get my first stunt job in LA. I hustled my ass off! Just as Dwayne Johnson said, “WHEN YOU WALK UP OPOORTUNITY’S DOOR, DON’T KNOCK KICK THAT BITCH IN AND INTRODUCE YOURSELF. I LOVE THAT!!!

Angela Meryl, a former model and make-up artist from Willingboro, New Jersey, received her first stunt gig alongside actor Sinbad, in the movie First Kidd. The game changer occurred when she came crashing through a glass table in the opening scene of Kill Bill Volume I, while doubling Vivica A. Fox. That performance garnered industry wide recognition and applause from peers in the business and fans to this day of the Quentin Tarantino directed cult flick hit.
